Patio Cover Awnings Made to Size: Your Deck Cover

We have written before about awnings being custom made to the size you need.  It sounds complicated, but it’s really not.  Aluminum awning panels come in 1’ or 2’ widths and can be ordered or easily cut to the size needed for your deck cover.  1’ aluminum awning panels are 4” deep which is a heavier pan for maximum projection of your awning.  The 2’ aluminum awning panels are 3” deep.

If you are including some awning skylights in the mix, these are typically 2’ width, and cut to the length you need.

Whatever size awning you need can be accommodated to meet your preferences and the size of the space you are covering.

Patio Covers: Where Does the Water Go?

One of the most common questions we get from customers is what will happen to the water draining off of their awning.  All of our patio covers are installed with a slight slope to allow for proper water drainage.  Some situations, or through customer design preference, require a bigger slope on the awning, which can also be accommodated without difficulty.  All of our patio covers include built-in awning gutter with downpipe.  The awning downpipe can be placed to drain wherever the customer prefers.
