How much slope does my awning / patio cover need?

If you are considering installing a patio cover or aluminum awning, you will want to have a minimum of ¼” slope per foot projection. This allows for your patio cover to have proper drainage. Slope of a patio cover can also be adjusted for a larger slope if you are following your roofline, for example. The awning hanger hinges to allow for the greater slope if needed.
